This seems like behvaior we’ll see sticking around for the forseeable future, but perhaps like issues with navigation gestures and third-party launchers, Android will expand the feature over time. Rather, it might just continue to show the taskbar while on the launcher, and may not sync the icons on the taskbar with those on the launcher’s dock.
